Children's Museum of South Carolina
Afraid your tot is being dumbed-down by too much cotton candy and miniature golf? This museum can help. Created for kids from 1 to 11, it has lots of interactive displays, including a doctor's examining room, a dentist's office, a science lab and a kiddie ATM.
Brookgreen Gardens
Unbelievable, beautiful and altogether stunning, the Brookgreen Gardens are one of the most magical places you'll ever visit in South Carolina. Blooming on the site of four former rice plantations, these spectacular gardens were the vision of Virginia shipbuilder Archer Huntington and his wife, sculptor Anna Hyatt Huntington.
Family Kingdom
Family Kingdom is both a 'Water Park' by the sea and an 'Amusement Park'. The Water Park has fast and slow slides, splash pools, train rides and a waterfall. If that doesn't tire the children, you can take them to the Amusement Park, which has an interactive laser ride, an old style wooden roller coaster and an enormous Ferris wheel.
